1. Wide panel: a mountain town under an unnaturally still sky; windmills stand idle. Caption: "THREE DAYS WITHOUT WIND."
2. Neri at a depot receives a sealed ceramic jar with a lightning emblem. Dispatcher off-panel: "One thunderclap. To the bell tower."
3. Close view of a fragile paper tag reading "DO NOT OPEN". Neri: "Easy."
4. Neri crossing a footbridge sees Orin stranded on a broken lower stair beside the tower. Orin: "The lift needs wind."
5. Neri looks from the sealed jar to the silent lift. Neri: "Of course it does."

Page 2
1. Neri tries hauling the lift rope; it barely moves. Orin waits safely on the lower landing. Neri: "Too heavy."
2. Close view of the thunder jar vibrating; Neri loosens only a small part of the lid. A tiny dark cloud leaks out. Neri: "Just a breath."
3. A comic burst of wind inflates her cheeks and flips her goggles down. Sound effect: "WHUFF!"
4. The lift rises gently as a little cloud turns its rotor. Neri grips the rope and Orin steps aboard. Orin: "That will do."
5. At the upper landing Neri sees the emptied jar. Only a small wisp remains. Neri: "I spent the delivery."

Page 3
1. Inside the tower, Neri holds out the open jar, shoulders low. Neri: "I am sorry. There is no thunder left."
2. Orin gestures to a small seedling in a cracked pot beside the window. Orin: "It was for this."
3. A last wisp escapes the jar and rains three little drops onto the seedling. No dialogue.
4. The seedling opens one bright white flower against rich black ink foliage. Orin: "Thunder was only the announcement."
5. Wide closing view: Neri and Orin smile at the flower, the tiny cloud resting above it. Neri: "Next time, order rain." Small footer: "END OF CHAPTER 1"
