Transcript

Panel 1: In a cosy bakery, Nell looks up at a plain round wall clock whose hands have stopped. A customer in a simple rust-coloured coat waits by the counter.
Customer: "Is it breakfast time?"

Panel 2: Nell taps the motionless clock gently with one finger. There are simple tick marks, no numerals or words.
Nell: "The clock has retired."

Panel 3: Nell opens the small oven and draws out a tray of fresh golden-brown bread rolls with safe cloth mitts.
Nell: "But the bread knows."

Panel 4: Nell and the smiling customer share fresh rolls at the bakery counter. The stopped clock remains on the wall.
Customer: "Perfect timing."
