For parents and educators

Recommended age, content rating and learning level are different. Ages 9-11 is the suggested reading range. All ages is the content rating. The learning ideas revisit introductory Key Stage 2 maths and science, with counting, halving, simple grids and measurement units as helpful starting points.

Review status: independent educator review and supervised reader testing have not yet been completed. This is a fictional adventure with learning ideas, not a complete curriculum, an endorsed teaching programme or evidence of improved attainment.

Questions are for reading and paper-and-pencil thinking. The machinery belongs to the story. Do not reproduce its electrical, lifting or light-beam devices.
