A reader brings a misplaced bit of night back to the library.

Transcript

Panel 1: At twilight, the child sets a clear open-topped glass jar in the library's wooden returns tray. A small glowing crescent moon floats inside. The ghost notices.
Child: "I found this."

Panel 2: The ghost looks out of the arched window at a starry sky with an obvious clear empty space and no moon. The jar glows on the desk.
Ghost librarian: "It's due tonight."

Panel 3: The ghost lifts the open jar to the window. The small crescent floats freely out and rises towards the sky. The child watches with delight.
Ghost librarian: "Up you go."

Panel 4: The full-size crescent shines normally above the library roof. Through the warm window, the child and ghost wave. The empty jar rests on the sill.
Child: "Good night, library."
