Page 1
1. Wide panel: nearly empty night train at its final platform; Mika carries a broom. Caption: "LAST STOP. 00:17."
2. On seat nine sits a punched ticket beside a knitted scarf. No dialogue.
3. Ada peers into the empty carriage. Ada: "Nobody boarded that car."
4. Close-up: ticket has a small hand-drawn star on its reverse. Mika: "Someone paid."
5. Mika crouches beside the seat and sees tiny muddy prints leading beneath it. No dialogue.

Page 2
1. Mika shines a torch beneath seat nine. A small white kitten with a black ear looks back. Sound effect: "mew"
2. Mika holds the scarf low as the kitten crawls towards him. Mika: "You are travelling light."
3. Ada opens a paper lost-property notebook; a matching star is sketched beside a kitten drawing. Ada: "A child asked about this kitten yesterday."
4. Mika notices the scarf loops through the ticket, attached to a cardboard tag. Tag text: "IF FOUND, KEEP WARM".
5. Ada holds a radio; Mika wraps the kitten gently. Ada: "I know which station to call."

Page 3
1. At the staffed station entrance, a relieved child arrives with her adult father. Father: "We left the ticket with the scarf."
2. Child holds out both hands but waits for the kitten to approach. Child: "So he could come home."
3. Mika kneels and the kitten climbs from the scarf to the child. No dialogue.
4. Ada smiles as Mika returns the punched ticket. Ada: "One passenger accounted for."
5. Closing panel: Mika resumes sweeping while a single tiny paw print remains on his sleeve. Mika: "Next time, use the carrier." Small footer: "END OF CHAPTER 1"
