1. One week later in morning light, Eda weighs a modest sack of flour at the turning mill. Neri arrives carrying the return ledger.

Eda: "A week, and we are milling again."

2. Eda gestures to neighbours dividing small flour portions on a plain counter.

Eda: "Enough to share. Not enough to waste."

3. Neri helps a neighbour plant fresh seeds in a previously dead bed. Other rows have only small surviving plants.

Neri: "These rows still need another season."

4. Eda checks the replanted bed beside Neri, giving her a small practical smile.

Eda: "Then write that down too."

1. At the ridge office Ilen lays three return reports beside the old incomplete map, watched by Neri.

Ilen: "Three settlements. Three reports returned."

2. Neri points to the two east-step homes now marked on the map.

Neri: "Including the houses we left off."

3. Ilen records a page showing simple symbols for wind, rain, damage and spent jars. No readable text on artwork.

Ilen: "What arrived. What was lost. What still needs work."

4. Varo displays a worn gear component beside the partly repaired wooden mechanism.

Varo: "And what the ridge cannot promise."

1. A carpenter in a headcloth and two workers fit a new beam into the damaged crossing. Barrier ropes still exclude pedestrians. Neri watches from the safe stone path.

Carpenter: "New beams. Inspection before feet."

2. Neri and a runner carry a small inspection ledger along the longer stone detour with its temporary handrail.

Neri: "We keep this route until you say."

3. At a different timber lift, Varo watches a worker lower a safely tied test load with a checked brake.

Varo: "A test load first."

4. The checked lift carries neighbours and one small flour sack between village platforms, with the operator attending its brake.

Neighbour: "Room for the flour. We take turns."

1. Ilen closes Neri's old delivery contract ledger at the office counter while Neri listens.

Ilen: "The old contract stays closed."

2. Eda places a smaller route book between herself, Ilen and Neri.

Eda: "A shared inspection route. One valley loop."

3. Varo adds a short route map with a partner's marker and two rest stops, no readable text.

Varo: "With a partner. And time to turn back."

4. Neri accepts the small route book with both hands, her satchel beside her.

Neri: "I can keep that promise."

1. Ilen, Varo and Eda meet beside the ridge collector with three returned report books on a table.

Ilen: "Capture only after the lower reports."

2. Varo points to a small marked limit on the repaired collection branch, leaving the main downstream channel open.

Varo: "A small cap. The rest passes through."

3. Eda checks the separate single sealed emergency reserve jar on its shelf. No replenishing magic or glow.

Eda: "Emergency use can come first. Then we record it."

4. Neri and her runner partner watch one small new droplet-marked rain jar being sealed after the capped collection; the downstream air channel stays open.

Neri: "One small rain jar. From today's share."

1. Neri and her plain-clothed runner partner arrive at Orin's bell-tower porch with one small sealed droplet-marked rain jar and the route book.

Neri: "A little rain. Not a whole storm."

2. Orin, elderly bald man with long white eyebrows and long white beard in a pale loose robe, examines the jar's simple droplet and one-use pictograms. His cracked flowerpot is nearby.

Orin: "One opening?"

3. Neri nods beside her partner, with hands away from the jar's sealed lid.

Neri: "Once. Then it is empty."

4. Orin turns to a neighbour who holds a small planter beside his repaired cracked pot, and asks before opening.

Orin: "Shall we share it here?"

1. Neri's partner places the neighbour's seedling planter beside Orin's string-repaired flowerpot.

Partner: "Both pots together."

2. Orin carefully removes the small rain jar lid and tilts its open neck above the two pots; a tiny local mist falls from the open neck into the soil only.

Orin: "Ready?"

3. Neri and her partner watch the small finite mist settle across the two neighbouring pots, hands clear. The removed lid sits nearby.

Neri: "Ready."

4. Orin holds up the now plainly empty open jar beside the two gently watered ordinary plants. No instant growth or magical blooming.

Orin: "Just as you said."

1. Orin returns the empty small jar to Neri while her partner records the delivery in the route book.

Orin: "Received. And shared."

2. Neri places the empty jar into her satchel and looks towards the valley, her partner beside her.

Neri: "We will bring the report back."

3. A quiet wide view connects the ridge, the lower turning mill and the bell-tower settlement, with a working lift, small replanted beds and ordinary passing clouds.

Orin: "Safe journey, both of you."

4. Final quiet close view of Orin's ordinary white flower in its string-repaired cracked pot beside the neighbour's small seedling planter. In soft background Neri and her partner leave together on the stone path.
