Twelve pale paper lanterns hang beneath the curved tiled roof of the tea house. Green and yellow leaves frame the mountain view.
Narration: September.

Bit opens one sleepy eye on his round woven mat, his muzzle resting between his forepaws. His solid body and single curled tail retain a soft warm light.
(Silent.)

Bit braces all four paws on the mat, his shoulders low and his head raised. His single tail rests beside his hind legs.
(Silent.)
S03E01-P04
Haneul kneels beside the mat with both hands on her knees. Upright Bit lifts his chin towards her.
Haneul: How are you feeling?
Bit: Ready for lunch.
S03E01-P05
Mi-rae watches Bit from behind the low tea table, her hands resting separately on its edge. Haneul leans slightly towards upright Bit as he lifts his chin towards the women.
Mi-rae: That was lunch.
Bit: I see the problem.
S03E01-P06
The White Tiger stands outside the open entrance, his forepaws on the stone threshold. Haneul, Mi-rae and upright Bit look towards him.
(Silent.)
S03E01-P07
Seen over Haneul's shoulder, the White Tiger faces her at the entrance, his forepaws on the stone outside and his mouth slightly open.
White Tiger: Haneul. Come to the mountain.
S03E01-P08
Haneul and Mi-rae face one another, their hands resting on their own knees. Bit sits upright on his mat beside Haneul.
Haneul: Mum, will you stay with him?
S03E01-P09
Mi-rae sits beside Bit with both empty hands on her knees. She looks towards Haneul beyond the frame while Bit watches her from his mat.
Mi-rae: I'll be here.
S03E01-P10
Haneul pauses at the doorway in her teal coat, her left palm against the wooden frame, and looks back. Mi-rae remains inside beside Bit while the White Tiger waits on the stone steps outside.
(Silent.)
S03E01-P11
Haneul follows the White Tiger uphill along a wooded stone path. The tea house roof lies below them.
(Silent.)
S03E01-P12
Haneul stands beside a broad low stone, her hands relaxed at her sides. The White Tiger has stopped opposite her on the path.
Haneul: How long do we have?
S03E01-P13
Haneul sits on the stone with her feet on the path and her hands separate on her knees. She looks up at the White Tiger and waits.
(Silent.)
S03E01-P14
The White Tiger speaks calmly while Haneul listens from the same stone, her hands still resting on her knees.
White Tiger: You have until the winter solstice.
