Season 3: The Last Wish - Episode 6: Seoul, Once More
Panel 1
Haneul stands on a broad Seoul pavement in daylight, with glass office buildings, autumn trees and ordinary pedestrians behind her. She wears her teal calf-length coat, grey wrap layer, charcoal trousers, brown boots and red scarf with two front ends. Her hands are free and her phone is not visible.
Narration: Seoul. The next day.
Panel 2
In the agency corridor, Haneul stands beside a glass office door. A small metal plaque on the door carries the printed Korean words for Design team, aligned to its angle between the two screws. A curved, tailless cream reading bubble supplies the English meaning above it. Her face, scarf, hands and the door handle remain visible.
Written text (Korean): 디자인팀
Document reading: Design team.
Panel 3
In a contemporary Seoul design office, Director Park Ji-won sits at the left across a table from Haneul at the right. Park has short black hair, a charcoal blazer and a pale shirt. She gestures with one hand as she speaks. Haneul listens with her hands resting together on the table, wearing her teal coat, grey wrap layer and red scarf with two front ends. The city appears through the windows behind them.
Director Park Ji-won: This was the job you wanted.
Panel 4
A closer view keeps Haneul at the right looking towards Park, whose shoulder remains in the left foreground. Haneul answers with a steady, restrained expression. Her two hands rest separately on the table, and her red scarf knot and two front ends remain visible against her teal coat.
Haneul: I know.
Haneul: I won't be coming back.
Panel 5
Haneul walks away from the meeting through the glass office corridor. Her free hands hang naturally at her sides; the coat opens around two separately supported legs and brown boots. The meeting room lies behind her. Her phone remains stowed.
[Silent panel.]
Panel 6
Haneul stands safely on the Seoul pavement beside yellow tactile paving and autumn ginkgo trees. Two trouser legs lead naturally to her two brown boots on the ground. A white sedan and a black sedan wait on the road at a red signal; their white registration plates carry incidental fictional Korean identifiers. Other pedestrians continue along the pavement. A driver is clearly visible at the steering wheel of each car through the windscreen.

Vehicle registration plate (Korean): 234나8910
[Silent panel.]
Panel 7
The same street becomes soundless. Haneul stands on the pavement with two clearly grounded boots as nearby pedestrians begin to look around. The same white and black sedans remain safely stopped under the red signal, carrying the same Korean registration identifiers as before. A curved, tailless narration bubble sits over distant buildings beneath the signal. The same drivers remain clearly visible at their steering wheels through the windscreens.
Vehicle registration plate (Korean): 123가4567
Vehicle registration plate (Korean): 234나8910
Narration: Then the city fell silent.
Panel 8
A closer reaction view places Haneul at the right foreground, looking left and listening. A suited man at the left turns his head to look along the street, while a woman behind him also looks around. Their expressions show surprise. The ordinary autumn street remains intact, and no one speaks in the panel.
[Silent panel.]
Panel 9
An hour later, Haneul remains safely on the Seoul pavement with her arms relaxed and her two hands separately at her sides. Two different pedestrians, a woman in a rust jacket and cream trousers and a man in a grey jacket and blue trousers, walk away behind her. A dark grey compact car and a blue compact SUV have replaced the earlier white and black sedans; their drivers are visible through the windscreens. The traffic signal is green. A tailless narration bubble marks the elapsed hour and return of sound.
Vehicle registration plate (Korean): 152나3846
Vehicle registration plate (Korean): 268다7052
Narration: An hour later, sound returned.
Panel 10
Outside their shared apartment-building entrance, Eun-hee stands at the left in a navy quilted jacket beside Hyun-su at the right in a beige jacket and plain spectacles. She looks up and asks her question. He turns towards her to reply. All four hands remain visible at their sides.
Eun-hee: You live upstairs, don't you?
Hyun-su: Twelve years.
Panel 11
The same neighbours exchange names in a closer view. Eun-hee remains at the left, smiling gently towards Hyun-su at the right. Their clothing, faces and positions remain consistent. The balloons leave both expressions and his spectacles clear.
Eun-hee: I'm Eun-hee.
Hyun-su: Hyun-su.
Panel 12
Haneul watches thoughtfully from the left foreground as Eun-hee and Hyun-su continue talking near the building entrance behind her at the right. She listens without joining or celebrating. Her two scarf ends remain visible.
[Silent panel.]
Panel 13
At night, Haneul waits behind the yellow edge of a low intercity platform beside a train with a red upper band, a black band around its windows and a ribbed silver lower body. The narrow side door is closed. Her hands are free, her phone is stowed, and both boots rest on the platform. A tailless narration bubble identifies the last homeward train out of Seoul.
Narration: The last homeward train out of Seoul.
Panel 14
Haneul sits by a train window as dark landscape and distant lights pass outside. The seat pair has dark navy upholstery with a fine red and blue pattern, white headrest cloths and compact grey armrests. One hand rests on an armrest and the other on her lap; both boots rest on the floor. Her teal coat, grey wrap layer and two red scarf ends remain unchanged. Her thoughtful, uncertain expression carries the silent ending.
