The repair shop before dawn, ten days after the first visit. Three adult silhouettes stand in warm light behind dry glass.
Narration: Ten days after the first visit. 05:50.
Yu-na presents the unchanged closed carrier to Gyeong-su. The stranger waits by the door, leaving a clear path.
Yu-na: As you left it. No work done.
Gyeong-su opens his carrier and recognises the crescent dent, dark rear corner and intact cutting assembly of his wooden plane.
Gyeong-su: Yes. This is mine.
The stranger admits that he could have returned the plane after the first job. His hands remain empty.
Stranger: I finished the first job before morning.
Stranger: I could have returned it then.
Gyeong-su listens without smiling. The stranger continues speaking from outside this frame.
Stranger: I kept choosing another person who needed me.
Stranger: That mattered more to me than the promise I made you.
The stranger apologises without offering an excuse.
Stranger: I'm sorry. I have no reason that makes it fair.
A silent pause. Gyeong-su looks at his plane resting on the cream cloth.
Gyeong-su closes the carrier. He accepts the return and reserves his decision about the apology.
Gyeong-su: I accept the return.
Gyeong-su: I will decide about the apology in my own time.
The stranger bows his head once and accepts that boundary.
Stranger: Of course.
Gyeong-su carries his closed case through the doorway. He will inspect the plane before using it again.
Yu-na: Will you use it again?
Gyeong-su: After I check it. It still has work to do.
Later in daylight, Su-jin briefly collects her own folder. She and Yu-na confirm the trial ends next week. This is not another work shift.
Narration: Later that morning.
Su-jin: The trial finishes next week. Then we review.
From inside the shop, Yu-na offers the stranger a specific two-hour task next Thursday. He remains outside.
Yu-na: Next Thursday. Two hours. Ask before you move anything.
Stranger: And if someone wants to let it go?
Yu-na works at the near end of the bench. Su-jin reads her folder at the far end, while the stranger leaves until the agreed day. The returned plane and lamp are absent.
Yu-na: We listen.
