Start with a clear story
Give your main character something to want, a problem to face and an ending that follows from their choices. A short comic is a useful place to practise.
Make each panel readable
Plan the space for lettering before finishing the artwork. Keep the reading order clear and check the page at the size a reader will actually see.
Prepare the text version
A transcript should follow the finished panels, identify the speakers and describe the visual information needed to understand the story.
