In daylight, Yu-na sets the closed tool carrier on her workshop bench while the stranger waits.
Narration: Later that morning.
Yu-na: You carry the box. I'll ask the questions.
At his joinery, Han Gyeong-su faces Yu-na and the stranger across a woodworking bench.
Gyeong-su: You took your time.
Gyeong-su points beside the crescent dent in the wooden plane, resting in its open carrier.
Gyeong-su: That mark was there before you borrowed it.
Yu-na asks Gyeong-su about the loan. The stranger stands farther back by the entrance.
Yu-na: You lent it to him?
Gyeong-su: For one job. Back before morning.
The stranger looks down, unable to meet the owner's eyes.
Stranger: There was always something else that needed finishing.
Gyeong-su draws the closed tool carrier towards himself on the bench.
Gyeong-su: I carried on. I bought another plane.
Gyeong-su: That does not make this yours.
Yu-na puts a custody record on the joinery bench. Gyeong-su answers her directly.
Yu-na: Would you like it restored?
Gyeong-su: I would like it returned. Not made into a favour.
Gyeong-su indicates the cleared area and covered machine prepared for new flooring.
Gyeong-su: The floor is being replaced. I'll collect it in ten days.
Gyeong-su: Can you hold it for me until then?
Yu-na writes the owner's custody record while Gyeong-su watches. The carrier remains closed.
Yu-na: Stored only. No work without your permission.
Gyeong-su: Exactly.
The stranger offers to restore the plane. Gyeong-su keeps the closed carrier on his side.
Stranger: I could make it as good as new.
Gyeong-su: You could stop deciding for it.
Gyeong-su transfers custody to Yu-na. Both support opposite sides of the carrier on the bench.
Gyeong-su: It is with you now. On my behalf.
Back at her workshop, Yu-na puts the carrier in a low cabinet and closes it. The stranger watches.
Yu-na: Ten days. You do not take it out.
Stranger: Understood.
Yu-na faces the stranger firmly near the workshop door. The owner's plane stays stored.
Stranger: That went better than I expected.
Yu-na: We returned his choice. You still owe him the truth.
