Episode summary

Haneul keeps a quiet vigil beside a lighthouse keeper who has forgotten his name. By dawn, a fragment of a wish returns, and Bit recognises something he cannot say.

Jae-wook studies his old work card in the harbour workroom. Its Korean printed name, 표재욱, is rendered in a tailless English reading bubble as Pyo Jae-wook. Haneul asks permission to sit in the next panel.
Go settles near the doorway with Bit, her bag and her gold travelling lantern. Haneul and Jae-wook sit at the table. The room has a harbour window, a clock and a dark cream lantern on the shelf. Silent panel. Jae-wook turns his empty mug by its base. Haneul has left her notebook closed beside her rather than seeking a written answer.
A normal navigation light sweeps over the harbour water and reflects into the room, where the two sit quietly through the night. Silent panel. A tailless time bubble reads "Hours later...". Deep in the night, the clock has advanced. Haneul and Jae-wook remain quiet at the table. Haneul's teal coat hangs over her chair; her grey jacket and red scarf remain. Go and Bit remain off-panel near the doorway. The cream lantern stays dark, while the electric desk lamp and normal navigation beacon work. Silent panel.
At the first grey dawn, Haneul sits in her inherited grey jacket and red scarf, having removed her teal coat. Jae-wook rests his hands on the table and begins to recall a fragment. Haneul watches Jae-wook without rushing him, giving his incomplete thought room.
As the grey dawn strengthens, Jae-wook turns towards the harbour window and speaks of a way in, even when nobody is waiting. The separate cream lantern on the shelf gives a faint gold glow. The light remains small and partial. Silent panel.
Jae-wook slides a plain contact card across the tabletop towards Go. The handwritten card reads 류혜린 (Ryu Hye-rin) and 북쪽 마을 (bukjjok maeul, Village to the north). It contains no real address.
Bit notices the ribbed edge of Haneul's red scarf. A small memory inset shows the same scarf edge on the departing woman's grey coat, with no face visible. Bit lowers his ears. His glow draws close to his fur as recognition frightens him into silence. He remains awake and upright. Silent panel.

Jae-wook: Apparently, that's me.
