Episode summary

A shared meal brings familiar faces back to the tea house. Min-ji opens her sketchbook, and for a little while there is enough room for everyone.

Panel 1: In the tea-house kitchen, Mi-rae stirs a pot on a portable hob while Haneul holds a dish of tofu and courgette. Both wear aprons with their red scarf ends tucked inside. Haneul's teal coat hangs on a peg. Panel 2: Madam Oh stands by the open doorway, smiling and supporting a wicker basket of mushrooms and courgettes with both hands.
Panel 3: Mi-rae and Haneul exchange a smile as they make room at the worktop. Haneul holds the ingredient dish on the table, while Madam Oh lifts a courgette from her basket. Panel 4: Haneul tips tofu and courgette from the supported dish into the pot. Mi-rae holds the ladle and looks towards her daughter.
Panel 5: Bit sits on the wooden floor beside a low table of clean bowls and looks up. His single bushy tail is intact and glows through its tip. Panel 6: Min-ji arrives in her paint-marked school jacket, holding a backpack strap and carrying a closed dark-green sketchbook at her side.
Panel 7: Haneul turns towards Min-ji with a welcoming smile. Two filled soup bowls rest on the low table; Min-ji still carries her backpack and sketchbook. Panel 8: Min-ji opens her dark-green sketchbook flat on a clear part of the low table while Haneul looks on. Her backpack rests behind her. The spread shows a hanok entrance and village rooftops, with a small drawing of Bit.
Panel 9: A close view of the open sketchbook shows a stone-stepped hanok entrance on the left and Cheongsan's tiled rooftops and mountains on the right. A small fox sits beside a wooden gate in the drawing. There are no written labels. Panel 10: Haneul smiles towards Min-ji over the open sketchbook. Min-ji looks shyly pleased, with one hand resting beside the book. The drawings retain the open stone-stepped gateway and village scene with the little fox.
Panel 11: Bit sits on the floor beside the low table, ears alert as he looks up from the sketchbook. The village drawings and small fox remain visible on the open pages. His one bushy tail curves behind him, glowing through the tip. Panel 12: Mi-rae, Haneul, Madam Oh and Min-ji smile together around the low table. Each woman has tofu and courgette soup, a smaller bowl of steamed rice, a spoon and two chopsticks. The rice sits on each diner's left and the soup on her right. Three small shared dishes hold seasoned greens and carrots, cabbage kimchi and cubed radish kimchi. Min-ji's closed dark-green sketchbook rests fully on the tabletop, clear of the dishes. Bit looks up beside his own small soup bowl on the floor, his complete tail still lit.
Panel 13: At floor level, Bit sits peacefully beside his small soup bowl while the meal continues beyond him. His whole tail rests on the wood to his right, glowing through its pointed tip and reflecting warm light on the floor. Panel 14: In the same position, Bit turns to look back at his tail. Its intact pointed tip has stopped glowing and no longer casts its warm reflection; the rest of his tail remains luminous. The meal continues behind him.
